ERAM Ring
ERAM Ring
Eram means exploration in Tamasheq. More specifically, the term is used when referring to the act of scouting for vegetation. In Tuareg society, a few people from a camp are sent to perform the task of Eram in order to find suitable land for their people to move into and thrive in.
Traditionally, Tuareg crosses are given from father to son with the words, ”I give you the four corners of the world, because one cannot know where one will die.”
We hope this piece serves as a reminder to always explore yourself and your surroundings, work to build your community, and reflect on the legacy you are meant to leave behind.
